Hardware

The electrical power system hardware was designed to store the energy coming from solar panels in two lithium-ion batteries and supply all the modules of the FloripaSat. The batteries are monitored by a DS2775 chip for charge and discharge them safely, and their temperature are measured by a RTD and an ADS to control a heater that keeps the batteries warmed. The eps also has current sensors and voltage measurements to get information about solar panels, that is stored in the MSP430F249 microcontroller which is responsible for managing the system .

Solar Panel

The FloripaSat will not build the solar panels. They will be acquired from the GomSpace or the EnduroSat company.
